Les Vieux métiers is an organization of over than 200 craftmakers able to illustrate 50 different traditional Quebec crafts in exhibitions and events. The organization has for goal to develop and promote ancient craft techniques and to pass on traditional craftsmanship from generation to generation.

Collecting
The organization collects information, writing, objects, tools and costumes necessary to preserve and to transmit the ancient knowledge of our ancestors.

Transmitting
It brings together craftmakers capable of demonstrating and bringing to life ancient craftsmanship during shows and events offered in a leisure or learning context.

Promoting
It initiates events to promote crafts and the ancient techniques used to make them to a large audience and multiplies opportunities for craftmakers to market their products.
